Welcome to Turnastone Court farm, home of Frasers of Turnastone and one of the Countryside Restoration Trust's Herefordshire farms. This historically and ecologically important farm, previously owned by the Watkins family, was purchased by the Trust in January 2003, thus protecting its ancient pastureland from almost certain intensive cultivation and its 18th century buildings from probably development.

The land at Turnastone Court Farm is of great wildlife value, being one of the few remaining sites for breeding curlew in Herefordshire. Much of the grassland is not believed to have been cultivated for 400 years, having avoided the plough during World War 2, largely because of the historical significance of the water meadows in the valley bottom. These are part of a larger irrigation project devised by Rowland Vaughan, a local Elizabethan landowner, who created an ambitious agricultural improvement scheme on his estate in the Golden Valley c1580 to 1600.
